A real gem among mountains

The Verdicchio di Matelica

Matelica is an Italian town in Macerata province, in Marche.
It arises over a rift called “Sinclinale Camerte” at the center of Alta Valle dell’Esino, the only Marche’s valley which goes through North and South and doesn’t meet the Adriatic Sea.

Matelica is surrounded by the Monte San Vicino’s mountains eastern and western by the Appennino Umbro-Marchigiano.
The Matelica parallel position to the sea gives the town a continental climate, which gradually release the heat.
This particular climate feature makes the Verdicchio di Matelica’s terroir a unique source of organoleptic skills which makes this white wine really unique.
